Biography
Brian Ashing (b.1994) is a visual artist from Trinidad & Tobago working primarily in oils.
His paintings both celebrate and subvert classical realism, infusing moments of impressionism and abstraction. Ashing’s practice features mainly figurative paintings that draw from his internal and external experiences. He seeks to explore the timelessness of the human psyche as well as the beauty and chaos of interpersonal relationships.
Ashing’s works are held in both public and private collections within the Caribbean, Europe and the USA. He currently creates full-time from his home in Trinidad.
